Akonolinga rutile is treated as a State mining development project, not as a retail ore auction. SONAMINES published an international call for expressions of interest to preselect partners able to complete exploration and support the start of production.

Cobalt, nickel and manganese at Lomié-Nkamouna

The Lomié-Nkamouna deposit concentrates cobalt, nickel and manganese. The company’s communications state that it has taken over the project site and is seeking technical and financial partners to develop it and bring it into production. The preselection results were announced on the institutional site.

Beyond the sites it runs directly, the company takes shareholdings. It has joined the capital of COMINCOR SA and CAMALCO MINING SA, in line with its purpose: to hold and manage the State’s interests in the exploration, mining and transformation of mineral substances.
